The Acne Naturist Treatment – The Link Between Diet and Acne Outbreaks
Most Doctors and Dermatologists hold the belief that there is no connection between diet and acne, therefore, using diet as an acne naturist treatment is a waste of time and effort. Even the Journal of the American Medical Association says “Diet plays no role in acne treatment in most patients…even large amounts of certain foods have not clinically exacerbated acne”.
The problem with that statement is the “large amounts of certain foods” part. While we can be sure that the statement is accurate, as far as it goes, recent clinical studies have shown that there is a definite link between some foods and acne. Some of these links are simple food allergies, and, in this case, eliminating these foods from your diet is the perfect acne naturist treatment, and will often result in a dramatic improvement in the condition.
For the rest of us, it may not be quite that simple. There are, however, certain foods that these clinical studies have shown to be a significant contributing factor to the onset of acne outbreaks. Any acne naturist treatment must include the elimination of these foods.
1. MILK and dairy products are very possibly the worst thing someone with acne can consume. Every sip of milk contains 59 different raging hormones, saturated animal fat, steroid hormones, dead white blood cells, and more, which trigger the hyper-production of sebum oil on your skin. The P acne bacteria feeds on this sebum oil using enzymes that irritate your acne. It only follows that, with an excess of sebum oil, the bacteria will reproduce to an excessive level, exacerbating your acne even more. If there is one food that you must eliminate from your diet, it is dairy products of all kinds. This is a major acne naturist treatment.
2. SUGAR Recent clinical studies have also shown that the consumption of sugar starts a chain reaction in your body that will lead to the aggravation of your acne condition. Eating sugar rapidly spikes your blood sugar level, and your body will automatically attempt to counteract this imbalance. To do this, it secrets a surge of insulin, other male hormones (even in women) and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1. High hormone levels can then overwhelm your liver and your internal hormonal balance in general. Often, this results in your skin secreting an excessive amount of sebum oil in an attempt to regain your body’s natural hormonal balance. From this point, the P acne bacteria start to feed and reproduce, using the enzymes mentioned earlier, which seriously aggravate your acne. You can see that, to someone with acne, sugar is a “sweet poison”.
These are just two of many foods that have been clinically proven to worsen acne, both in the frequency of outbreaks and in the severity of those outbreaks. As these studies continue to evolve, we may find that modifying our diets to eliminate these “acne triggers” may, indeed, prove to be the ultimate acne naturist treatment.
